Whew, we just got in from a long weekend in Las Vegas for a little getaway to catch some shows including Tina Fey & Amy Poehler’s Restless Leg Tour and for great vegan eats.
The first night there we made it to Crossroads Kitchen and what a great experience that was. It’s not cheap, but an amazing treat.
We started with the Caramelized Onion Tart and Baked Mushroom Scallops. Both amazing, but the tart really stood out with with the Boursin cheese and unique tomato “egg” yoke.
Then we had the Spicy Rigatoni Vodka and Lasagna Bolognese. The savory and kicky sauce on the rigatoni was just perfect paired with firm and tender pasta. And the lasagna was also a hit with amazing sauce.
Then we tried the Banana Pudding for dessert with layers of perfection. It was a wonderful experience and I am looking forward to visiting one of the locations in LA soon.
The next day for brunch, we ventured to Truth & Tonic in The Venetian, an all vegan café with healthier takes on comfort brunch. We started with mimosas, I got the Coconut Milk French Toast while Ron for the Just Egg Scramble.
Everything was delicious, I could have easily eaten there every day to try something new on the menu.
There were for quick eats too while moving between shows and plans. We stopped by Miznon in The Palazzo Lobby for a quick dinner of vegan Falafel Burgers with tahini sauce that were delicious. And indulged in the Vegan Just Egg Breakfast Stack from the CR CREĀT in The Palazzo to enjoy on a relaxing morning before heading out for more fun.
And had another great dinner at Mott 32 to check out the extensive and unique vegan menu.
We started with the Shanghainese Soup Dumplings, then onto the Shredded “Pork” with Wood Ear Fungus and Wok-Fried Flat Rice Noodle with Sliced “Beef”. And ended with the Lychee Sorbet.
Everything was great, the dumplings and shredded “pork” dishes stood out as fabulous new food experiences for us. Portions sizes were perfect.
It will be tough getting back to the grind tomorrow after such a fun packed few days and I am wiped with a lot of laundry to do! So, have a great week starting with the list.

GORGEOUS plates! That is the stuff of dreams, real bucket list dining. I’ve still never been to Vegas but want to visit, if only for the food.
