Wow, November and I’ve already started holiday shopping. Crazy! Halloween was a bit of a bust with only a few trick-or-treaters compared to last year. Strange and I am trying to get rid of extra candy! It’s been an interesting week of eats with a garlicy sweet potato tofu sauté and a lunch date with Ron for Vegan Crab Paste Soup and Mongolian Vegan “Beef” with broccoli and brown rice from Pho Vegan Asian Cuisine.
Also beans and rice and kicky Impossible Chili made by Ron to celebrate the chilly wet fall weather this week. Oh, and back to Zest Kitchen for the Autumn Harvest Bowl which is delicious, comforting, and filling.
I also got to try Pacific Foods Unsweetened Organic Almond Milk which is great with sweet cereal and for sweet or savory cooking while being only 40 calories per serving. Not my favorite for coffee, I tend to prefer thicker, sweetened plant-based milk-alternatives there.
We also stepped with out the entire family this week to Paul Martin’s American Grill to celebrate a large birthday for my dad where both Ron and I tried the Veggie Quinoa and Black Bean burger with Vegan Aioli sauce. There was not a lot of vegan options on the menu, but we were thankful for the few they did have.
I also tried a new burger and vegan cheese at home, Vitalite Plant-Based Mozzarella Style Slices on a Hungry Planet Plant-Based patty. I found the slices melted nicely to gooey goodness on the patty.
I’m not exactly a master burger crafter, but I felt this came out great with simple lettuce, mustard, and ketchup for a fun treat.
I am also still enjoying throwing together simple blender salad dressings using Mighty Sesame Co. Organic Squeezable Tahini pairing with Le Must Authentic Dijon Mustard, dill, tamari, and lemon juice for a simple, but lively salad dressing for an otherwise boring kale salad.
And, ugh, back at Sunday looking at another work week ahead. Oh well, hopefully a good week and a shorter week with a holiday. I hope you have a great week starting with the list.

It’s true, the rest of the year is pretty much done already. The remaining days will just snowball from here… no pun intended. ;)
That looks like the absolute ideal of a burger! I’ve only had Hungry Planet chicken patties; I had no idea they made beefy burgers too. I’ll have to keep an eye out.

Yes, another year flying by, crazy! Thanks on the burger and the patties were good, not exactly Impossible Burgers, but hearty and tasty for me.
