VCC Eats for the List

It’s been a nice weekend here after a busy week, but I am looking forward to cooling fall temps since it’s still in the 90s. But it’s also still great weather for simple salads and soy curl stir fries.

Monday we celebrated our 25 year dating anniversary (!!!) by enjoying vegan options at Mikuni and amazed at how crowded it was for a Monday night. But enjoyed the lively atmosphere and great veggie roll options.

And I had lunch twice this week at Zest Kitchen for the Autumn Harvest Bowl and Prana Bowl, life is good. So was the gooey and hearty vegan Blackbird Margherita pizza jazzed up with Miyoko’s Mozz and olives we had while watching Halloween themed shows Friday night.

We have been slow to embrace the Sacramento Vegan Chef Challenge so far for October with so much going on, but make it out to Pho Fresh last night for great beer and to try their great VCC menu starting with the Spicy Wonton with Chili Sauce.

Then on to the ADB Rice-sadilla, ADB standing for all day breakfast. And this was stuffed with vegan mozzarella, sausage, and egg with kicky dipping sauce for a delightful treat.

The was also the ADB Banh Mi and ADB Fried Rice, both delicious and going to be tough to top these options! We need to get busy trying more restaurants now for the Sacramento Vegan Chef Challenge.

Now I am preparing myself for another busy, but hopefully good week ahead and productive. And hopefully cooling temps to match our turning leaves finally. I hope you have a delicious week ahead starting with the list.
