This seems to be the first official weekend of fall here with temps finally in the 70s and 60s and I am celebrating with a delicious warming and creamy broth for sautéing hearty potatoes and veggies in – Pacific Foods Organic Creamy Plant-Based Zesty Ginger & Turmeric Broth.
Also with the Autumn Harvest Bowl and Chana Bean Wrap from Zest Kitchen this week.
There has also been more kicky vegan Thai takeout and a new find that I was not expecting to like this much – Hidden Valley’s Plant Powered Ranch Dressing.
I was never a ranch dressing fan growing up, but the creamy texture and very zesty flavor makes this a fun, occasional splurge.
Another great splurge is Miyoko’s Creamery Aged Black Ash Cashew Milk Cheese.
It has a very interesting and rich flavor that is an absolute treat on crackers.
We celebrated the start of fall today driving to Auburn to take in the scenery and lunch from Nectar Cafe for kombuchas, the tempeh Ruben sandwich, and kicky Thai wrap.
And here we are back at the start of another week. Our air conditioning is still out and requires another troubleshooting repair appointment this week which will probably be pricey. At least it’s cool and not urgent now! And we are still missing Miko terribly. I would love to add more fur family members, but still grieving and waiting for the right time while getting settled in the new job still and new routine after so much change. Hoping it’s a great week ahead for everyone!

I hear you; it felt like straight up winter compared to Texas temperatures! Nice change of pace though. Wish I had more time to venture out beyond the immediate bay area. I’m still so envious of your local eats.

Yes and we’re not complaining. And may actually get rain this week, but don’t want to jinx that!!
