Another week flew by and cases are so bad in CA now we’re just trying to hang in there are ride this out. Last week was my birthday and it was a low key day at home of presents, garden fun, vegan pizza and gaming. We joked at husband’s low key, shelter in place birthday in April that we’ll have to celebrate both of ours on mine in July wishfully hoping this would be over by then. Oh well. It was still a great day, I got fun new garden tools, books, an inflatable paddleboard, and Animal Crossing New Horizon which is a relaxing and addicting game to play – not a bad thing now.
We found a new vegan pizza to try at Sprouts Farmers Market – Chloe Delectably Vegan Italian Sausage pizza that’s vegan, gluten free, nut free, and free of just about any ingredient that could cause an allergic reaction. The pizza is delicious! Possibly one of the most cheesiest and gooey vegan pizza’s I have ever had. Really looking forward to picking up another soon.
We’ve made a little garden progress getting more starters moved to the garden beds, but it’s tricky in the heat and requires a lot of water. We also cleaned up the fruit tress more in the backyard and getting more potted plants and succulents out.
Still trying to get outside a lot around the heat, lots of sunset dog walks, early runs and a new routine of Saturday morning dog walks with my mom and her dog on a new trail.
Got a great view of the moon shinning through pink dusk clouds, a neighborhood cat, and a crazy huge spider in a crazy huge web.
Lots of salads shared with my lap buddy.
More tempeh stir fries and spicy Thai takeout too.
And a great takeout lunch from Pho Vegan Asian Cuisine this week.
Dine in has been shut down here again with the rising cases and it seems to be a bigger challenge for restaurants this time around which is awful. We’re trying to support as many as we can.
Weeks tend to blend together this summer with trying to avoid this and protect the community and we’re still trying to make the best of it. I hope everyone is doing okay, hanging in there, and staying safe. And I hope this list helps.

Aw, happy belated birthday! Sorry it couldn’t be a grand party, but it still looks like a lovely celebration nonetheless.
I have GOT to try that pizza. There aren’t many frozen options I really love, or think are worth the money, but I’m forever looking!

Thanks! It’s okay, that’s just 2020 – haha, ugh. Yes on the pizza, highly recommend for the price.

Happy Birthday! Sounds like a fun day despite the craziness at the moment. And I love your garden, the fruit trees and succulents. So different than here! The pebbles in the garden are nice for keeping weeds out!

Thanks! Yes and thanks on the garden. Water wise landscape here since it tends to be getting drier.
