Game Ready for the List

February 4, 2018 by christine

Excited for the big game? Not really here, we’ll be watching it at home while working on other stuff and playing in the kitchen. And Miko will probably be doing this.

Or claiming Leela’s double decker bed.

I treated myself to a new purse last week thanks to a too-tempting sale price and an draining, exhausting week – the Gunas Perch Purse.

I’ve always wanted to Gunas purse, but am also very picky about purses – they need to have secured zip pockets outside for easy access to the multiple cells phones I’m usually carrying for work. So far I’m loving it, the quality seems great, the zippers are nice and smooth and the purse is structured nicely while being large enough to hold my large wallet and phone, but not too big.

This has been kind of an odd week with work stress, recovering, etc. and I’ve had a bit of the blahs after crazy days sticking to simple eats like this potato and pinto bean saute with veggies, tamari, nutritional yeast, and dried herbs.

And lots of salads like this monster with steamed artichoke.

I’ve also discovered adding avocado to smoothies for a creamier, whipped texture.

Of course there was spicy Thai Friday night.

And hubby picked up Just Awesome Sauce to try and discovered it’s pretty awesome.

I paired it with roasted potatoes for dipping, the tangy and bright dill flavors were perfect.

I also may have had a little too much luck finding deals at Grocery Outlet yesterday, lots of raw vegan organic snacks in the health food section for a fraction of the price.

I loaded up on these Soul Sprout Nut Bars in every flavor trying the Wow Cacao Nib bar so far.

It has a rich chocolate flavor while not being overly sweet and great nutty texture. Perfect to have on hand for hikes and trail runs – now I just need to find more running groups to do that with!

Okay, to the list!

Yes, that was a major score for the price.

I kept on forgetting that it was the Super Bowl yesterday, to be honest. Shows just what a sports fan I am!

I actually snagged one of those Soul Sprout bars from my local GO, too. They didn’t have the cacao though so I just got a plain salted variety. Funny, they don’t even have that one on the website… Hope I didn’t make a mistake!

Haha, I was kind of there too, but actually enjoyed the game.

Interesting on the site, but I’ve enjoyed the Soul Sprout bars we’ve tried so far and can’t complain about the price.

Indeed! I finally tried my bar and now I’m sad I didn’t grab more of them. I wonder if there will be any left next time I can go shopping…

I actually loved the game, it was actually exciting and some of those plays were ridiculous! The halftime show was disappointing. I thought JT should have sang more than he danced. Bruno was much better!

I’m excited for those documentaries. Both of them look like they’ll be really interesting.

True, the game was much better than I expected! And agreed on the halftime show, it was just eh.

Yes, can’t wait to check them out!
