Simple Silky Orange Ginger Dressing

July 16, 2015 by christine

Hi, popping in with a quick post again because it’s been another busy week at work with lots going on. I’m taking a couple of extra days off next week for my birthday and really looking forward to that down time now. Hopefully things will be settling down soon. I’ve been keeping things simple for dinner with so much going on, lots of cool summer salads and fast blender dressings. This dressing worked out really well for such a simple, whole ingredient list blending a few of my favorite flavors – ginger, garlic, and miso – with creamy and sweet banana and tangy citrus. It comes together quick, is light and silky, and brings a cool summer salad to life.

Silky Orange Ginger Dressing

  • 1 banana, peeled and chopped
  • 1 tangerine, peeled
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • 1″ thick chunk of raw garlic
  • 2 tbsp. miso paste
  • 1/2 cup of water, as needed

Place all ingredients into a high speed blender and blend to a smooth and creamy texture. Serve and enjoy! Makes 2-4 servings.

The texture is light and airy and coats a salad well.

Trader Joe’s brought back one of my favorite seasonings, South African Smoke! And it’s great for tapping salads, stir frys, and just about anything!

It went really well with this dressing adding a savory smokey flavor with the sweet ginger.

Creating an exciting blend of summery flavors in a vibrantly colorful dish.

Poor Miko was bummed we didn’t drop any, he’s always ready to clean up under the table.

There are so many awesome flavors going on in this dressing Christine. I don’t think I could ever eat enough salad in the summer. This is totally my kind of dinner.
