Leela is happy for now, she claimed her cozy fireplace bed back from Smokey.
And Miko has been eagerly waiting for more play time following me around the house.
And I’m working with another new NuNaturals product for this salad dressing recipe – NuNaturals NuStevia Simple Syrup.
This is a simple syrup, it only has three ingredients and packs a very sweet flavor for having no sugar, no empty calories, and no carbs. Nice!
I’m a fan of Japanese-style carrot ginger dressings, but so many recipes call for the addition of sugar. I threw this version together to try the simple syrup, it gets creamy texture from tahini and has no sugar.
Tahini Ginger Dressing
- 1/4 cup tahini
- 2 carrots, rough chopped
- 2 tbsp. apple cider vinegar
- 1″ think chunk of fresh ginger
- 2 tbsp. white miso paste
- 2 tsp. NuStevia Simple Syrup
- 1/2 cup of water, as needed
Place all ingredients into a high speed blender and blend to a smooth and creamy texture. Serve and enjoy! Makes 4 servings.
The dressing is a warming orange color with a smooth and silky texture, perfect for kale salads.
And it does a great job coating the salad!
The flavor is great, zingy ginger, savory tang, and a slight sweetness. Perfect balance for slightly bitter kale.
And in the man food department, hubby has discovered a new vegan burger he’s a fan of – Gardein’s Ultimate Beefless Burger.
He likes big, meaty burgers and always looking for a good vegan version. The Gardein patties are huge and pack a hearty flavor and Salisbury steak texture he likes.
He created a pretty and hearty burger wrap with avocado, mustard, tomato, and romaine lettuce.
And was very happy with the texture and flavor. Until the Beyond Meat Beast Burger comes out, I’m glad he has another option to enjoy!

I always look forward to your posts because I love seeing pictures of your fur babies! I also love your salad dressing recipes! I’m soooo excited to learn about the NuStevia simple syrup. I love making mojitos in the summer, but I’m too lazy to make the syrup. This is fabulous!

Thanks on the recipe, it’s a great syrup and worth the price because a little goes a long way. I can see this container lasting months in the pantry for many recipes!
