I hope you had a great Thanksgiving. We had two, a small one with my parents on Thanksgiving, then a large one with all the family on Saturday. Both great and it’s been an interesting week here. Late after work on Wednesday, I got a call from my mom that she had taken in a cute loose chihuahua while walking her dog, but has not located the owner yet. I ran a spare leash and harness over and ended up bringing the little guy home for a bit until the owner responded to the lost dog post and we got the dog back to them just before midnight. Miko seemed to enjoy having a brief play date, but we were glad to get the little guy back home.
Miko has also been having fun attending both Thanksgiving celebrations and getting lots of attention and treats.
And spending time with other family dogs.
I have not been great about snapping food pics with all the excitement, but there has been spinach salad with Daiya vegan ranch dressing, simple macaroni soup with veggies, and curried tofu stir fry.
We had multiple Gardein Vegan Turk’y Roasts for each gathering with a simpler plate of roasted veggies, dressing, and gravy on Thanksgiving and a loaded plate for the second Thanksgiving with more sides. Miko was happy to share what he could and snuggle in his blanket in the middle of all the action.
We also got the Christmas tree up which was a fun project.
And I am preparing myself to get back to work tomorrow, tough after a fun packed 4 days! But lots of great company and memories and Christmas is getting closer with inspiration in the list.
Sounds like you had a wonderful two celebration Thanksgiving! We do the same. Those Brussel Sprouts look so good roasted! I confess, I tend to just boil mine and my family simply won’t eat them. Your tree is adorable though! SO many cute ornaments.

I’m so glad that Miko had a play date. I need to get Cricket over to see my parents dog – it’s been a couple of years and I think it would do both of them good.
Yes, me too. I am torn on getting him a companion because is loves being the center of attention, but it’s also great to have play dates and company.
Happy belated Thanksgiving! It really doesn’t feel like the holiday season, but on we go… I’m glad you were able to celebrate with family. It makes such a difference.
