Hope you’re having a good weekend, it’s not as hot here with okay air quality finally which means lots of walks for Miko. Can’t wait until it’s cool enough to take him on more adventures locally. Miko is doing okay, he has started coughing more which is concerning and the cardiologist he saw in April is no longer available, so I’m in the process of getting him an appointment with another hopefully in the next two weeks or so to see how his condition is progressing and if we need to adjust his medication. Poor guy has more doctors than me! But he appears to be in good spirits hanging with us and happy to share meals.
But we have been spending a lot of time at home avoiding smoky bad air quality and heat the last couple of weeks tackling house projects and gardening. Ron has been making his own hot sauce with peppers from our garden and I harvested our first pumpkin which I’m ridiculously excited about.
Lentil pasta with veggies, more tofu stir fries, salads, and curry cabbage stir fry. As you can tell, we’re making slow progress on the table puzzle too, ha!
Catching up on eats from the last couple of weeks, there was salad, simple curry stir fries, Gardein stir fry, vegan pizza from Federalist Public House with beer that was awesome, not sure what took us so long to go there! And the Vegan Tofu Banh Mi from Mendocino Farms.
More tofu stir fries, kale salads, curry sweet potato sauté, and a wonderful vegan lasagna Ron made using eggplant from our garden.
Kicky tofu Thai dishes, kale sautéed with Just Egg for brunch one morning, and Daiya pizza with added artichoke hearts and vegan parm. And eerie smoky views from our backyard many evenings that made us very thankful for fresh air this weekend.
Huge meals salads, takeout from Pho Vegan Asian Cuisine, more simple tofu stir fries, and delicious beans and rice with vegan sausage Ron made.
And last night we met some friends for dinner at El Papagayo, a delicious Mexican restaurant that is know for great vegan options. We have not been since it re-opened under new management and relieved to see the vegan options are still plentiful.
The food and company were excellent, I tired the Baja Tofu Tacos and Ron the Soyrizo Taquitos and both were great. And now I am preparing myself to face another work week hoping for a great week for me and you too starting with the list.

Those are some awesome restaurant dishes, but your homemade meals always look so good! If I could eat like that more often, I would never need to go out.

Aw, thanks! I tend to stick to simple dish ruts with fresh veggies, so going out is nice too. :-)
