Whew, it’s been a good weekend – with temps in the 70s, we had to enjoy the weather while we could before the heat starts. Miko went for a long walk and play date Saturday with my mom’s dog and enjoyed a long nap after.

Eats have been pretty simple this week with salads and stir fries. I’m still in a blah mood and trying to find motivation to get more creative in the kitchen.

We did get out to another local Thai restaurant that opened their dining room and has fabulous vegan options. And spent more time enjoying our patio since it is so cool. I made chickpea spaghetti and took in nature on an easy run this morning.

Ron went into the office this week and went out to lunch at Jacks Urban Eats where they had a huge Impossible Taco Bowl. And he spotted new Impossible frozen patties at Sprouts Farmer’s Market – Impossible seems to be everywhere and it’s awesome!

Today we headed into Sacramento to get back to a place we have not been since COVID, Veg Sacramento, where Sunday brunch on the patio was very popular! The Cesar Salad, Curry Crepe, and The Works also with Impossible Burger were delicious!

And it was nice seeing the midtown area again, streets lined with massive green trees and great walking scenery. We also got grapes planted in our garden. I have no idea how they’ll do, so this should be interesting!

How is it Sunday already? Feels like the weekend just started. Boo. Hopefully next week will be a good week for me and you too starting with the list!
Beautiful weather for some beautiful food! That all looks absolutely incredible, from the climate to the eats. I’m truly envious, although it hasn’t been too shabby here in Texas… Just feeling a bit “homesick” thinking about lovely California.
