Thank you for all the sweet comments on Leela, it’s not easy losing a family member. It’s been another interesting week of mostly working from home and trying not to obsess over the news and focus on the positives such as beautiful running weather and grazing goats.
And cuddly, sleepy buddies. Oh, and successful deal shopping trips to Grocery Outlet.
Having lots of healthy eats such as veggie stir fries, salads, and tofu rice dishes.
Mmmm, and spicy vegan Thai takeout to celebrate getting through another work week.
More simple tofu stir fries and kicky curry sweet potato sautes.
Hubby is a hard core burger fan and thankfully there are many great vegan options today. This week he tried The Meatless Farm Co. Meat Free Burgers.
At first bite, the seemed very Beyond Burger like with a slightly higher veggie texture, but he became a bigger fan embracing the hearty “meaty” flavor.
I used another fun Grocery Outlet find for dinner, Lightlife Smart Grounds, in a hearty marinara veggie saute.
It was delicious and hearty, I did not miss pasta. We had a decent week of eats and were very productive with yard work and projects trying to make the most of staying home. I have an ambitious goal of re-doing our garden, but may need to bring in help for new planter beds. We also watched Contagion which was eerily fun now. Also finally watched Joker, very heavy and dark, but such an amazing acting job bmy Joaquin Phoenix. Also This Means War, which is a fun, over the top rom-com that does not take itself too seriously. Critics weren’t such a fan of that one, but I find it entertaining with lots of eye candy.
Now I’m just preparing for another work week and get to head into the office tomorrow. I hope everyone is hanging in there and the list helps start the week on a positive note.
- Bill Maher has a realistic view on factory farming.

So happy that you have sweet, Miko to cuddle with and that the weather is nice so you can get out to run.

Yes, indeed, the only way I’ve been able to cope with anything going on is to just distract… Seems like as healthy strategy as any. Glad you’re able to keep going and focus on positives.
I haven’t been to a grocery store since March so I’m even more envious of your GO finds than usual! Nice to get a glimpse into that world, still. Just good to know that it exists…

Yes and so true on distracting. Wow on grocery shopping, that’s impressive to go that long without shopping! It almost seems like we do it more just because that’s all we have, lol.

Thank you, we are getting our first estimate in this week because I’ve decided I can’t take the garden project on by myself!
