Creamy Cilantro Dressing & Hazelnut Treat

November 8, 2016 by christine

Like me, the pups are tired of politics and have been acting a little rattled all evening.

I think even Smokey is a little clingy following hubby and I around.

I’m choosing to focus on vibrant salads instead because gorgeous, fresh veggies always makes things better. Especially when coated with a kicky and creamy tahini based dressing.

Tahini Cilantro Dressing

  • ¼ cup tahini
  • 1 large clove of raw garlic
  • 2 tbsp. lemon juice
  • ⅓ cup fresh chopped cilantro
  • 2 tbsp. nutritional yeast
  • ¼ cup water
  • salt and pepper to taste

Place all ingredients into a high speed blender and blend to a smooth and creamy texture. Serve and enjoy! Makes 2 to 4 servings.

Tahini is such an amazing dressing ingredient – creamy, rich, and blends with so many flavors. It does so especially well with cilantro and raw garlic in this dressing adding a fresh herb kick that could work as a dip too. But it worked very well coating this meal salad with cabbage, chickpeas, and greens.

Dessert was also fabulous, I have a deep appreciation for nut butters and chocolate and adding both to smoothies. I was excited to try Nocciolata Dairy Free vegan chocolate hazelnut spread.

Oh my, just look at this silky and chocolaty perfection.

Okay, maybe this is boring – but my vehicle of choice for the first taste was a spoon. But I decided on apple slices instead.

It’s delicious! It has a rich creamy and chocolate flavor without being too sweet, it has a satisfyingly thick and smooth texture, hearty without being oily. And it spreads in a silky smooth layer that would be perfect for a breakfast wrap with banana slices. But the rich chocolate flavor is also great in pre-run smoothies blended with banana. I am looking forward to trying Nocciolata Dairy Free in more desserts and treats coming soon! It’s not cheap, when are high quality organic foods? But worth it for a splurge treat.

Yeah, the cats and I were strung out all night. You can see the tension in your poor little ones! Food looks delish tho… – http://www.domesticgeekgirl.com

That hazelnut spread looks fantastic and a great way to escape politics. I’m so done with Facebook right now and all the comments. It’s like, enough already, let’s start thinking about Thanksgiving and all we are happy and grateful about!

Yes! Nocciolata Dairy Free is sooo good! I ate it with a spoon so it pretty much was gone in about 3 days!
