Butternut Sage Dressing

December 3, 2015 by christine

Leela has been a little antsy lately, restlessly following me around the house.

And even doing her cute little meerkat pose at the dinner table for extra attention and carrot nibbles.

Maybe the holiday stress is getting to her. Or maybe she can’t wait for her presents. I think she’s gonna love the new bed we got her. And you’re gonna love this kicky and warming butternut squash dressing.

Butternut Sage Dressing

  • 1 cup chopped butternut squash
  • ¼ cup shelled hemp seeds
  • ½ tsp. dried sage
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • 1 tsp. onion powder
  • dash of red pepper flakes
  • 1 tbsp. lemon juice
  • ½ cup water, as needed
  • salt and pepper to taste

Place all ingredients into a high speed blender and blend to a smooth and creamy texture. Serve and enjoy! Makes 2-4 servings.

It has a warming color and creamy texture for a hearty salad.

And coats a massaged kale salad perfectly.

The red pepper and sage add a warming flare to make this a great winter salad.

And is loaded with powerful nutritional value to combat the stresses of the holidays and winter!

Awwww! I love meerkats. Leela does a great impression. She’ll be instal-famous ;op This is my first time on your website and I’m obsessed with this dressing idea. YUM!! I have all the ingredients just sitting on the counter and waiting for a great recipe like this one. Will have to try this soon!

Leela is adorable, what a great shot! And I’m sure she will love her new bed. Anything with butternut squash in it wins my heart, every time! Your dressings are amazing. Thanks.

Thanks, not easy getting a good shot of her since she’s camera shy. Thanks on the dressing!

That dressing looks tasty and I usually have most of the ingredients on hand.
Aw, Leela is so cute. I love meerkats, I remember watching a documentary on them in high school. That bed you’re getting her looks so cozy. I may have to get them for my pups too!

Thanks, it came out great for a simple throw together. I can’t wait to see what they think of the new beds, Leela is shredding one of hers since she likes to dig in it and try to burrow.
