Miko has recovered from our dog-sitting weekend and is happy to have hubby’s lap all to himself again.
And Smokey is happy to have her favorite red blanket back and not have to hide in our closet.
I’m happy to be stocked with a lot of tahini in the pantry, I could eat it right out of the jar! But it also makes amazing sauces and dressing, like this daring sweet and spicy dressing blending tahini with Sriracha and a banana for a playful balance of kick and sweetness.
Sweet & Spicy Tahini Dressing
- 1/2 cup tahini
- 1 banana, peeled and chopped
- 1/2 tsp. Sriracha sauce
- 2 cloves of garlic
- 1/2 tsp. turmeric
- 1″ thick chunk of raw ginger
- 1tbsp. white miso paste
- 1/2 cup water, as needed
Place all ingredients into a high speed blender and blend to a smooth and creamy texture. Serve and enjoy. Makes 4 servings.
The texture is wonderful, silky smooth and perfect for coating raw greens.
I coated a kale salad with lentils and chopped apple with it.
And thoroughly enjoyed this hearty meal salad, it had crunch, tangy garlic kick, a playful sweetness, and a slight fiery kick.
This dressing is worth trying on your next kale salad!

Miko does look happy, as does Smokey! I just bought some miso paste so I’m going to have to whip up a batch of this dressing. It sounds delicious.
