It has been chilly, overcast, and rainy this weekend. So the dogs have either been in my lap or in front of the fireplace.
Rough life, huh?
One great thing about winter here is our little tangerine tree explodes with tangerines. And they’re all starting to get ripe, woohoo!
I used one in this simple and flavorful salad dressing that blends it with creamy and tangy tahini since I have a pantry full of that now too.
Citrus, ginger, and sesame is such a wonderful flavor combo and this dressing blends savory with a sweet tang with such a creamy and a smooth texture.
Citrus Tahini Dressing
- 1 tangerine, peeled and broken into peices
- 1/4 cup of tahini
- 1″ think chunk of fresh ginger
- 1 tbsp. of miso paste
- 1 tsp. onion powder
- 1 tsp. garlic powder
- 1/4 cup water
Place all ingredients into a high speed blender and blend to a smooth and creamy texture. Makes 4 servings.
It has a pretty, warming color.
And great coating a spinach salad topped with nutritional yeast and a little smokey seasoning.
The creamy and tangy citrus flavor really works to liven up the plain spinach leaves and was just tasty with chopped apple in the salad.

totally different comment, tho! LOL
The dressing looks and sounds wonderful and I’m LOVING the tangerines! You are LUCKY! I tink I might be doing a Mostly Liquids Week again in the near future…so smoothies, juices, and blended soups for the most part…but I have lots of squash to focus on THIS WEEK!!!!
