Wow, how did Monday get here so fast? And it was a hectic Monday because the flu is running through our department, one person was out sick with it last week and three called in sick today! Ugh, keeping my fingers crossed I’m not next!
Yesterday I had a severe case of the blahs, I think all my car, money, work, and holiday frustrations crashed together at once and I was in no mood to do anything. I did get in a good run that was faster than my normal pace.
And that helped my mood for a bit, but I felt pretty much useless for the rest of the day and just needed some down time I guess.
With stress and sickness in the forecast for this week, I started the day with a power smoothie loaded with organic kale and cabbage, carrot, raw protein, ginger, and a banana.
After a two huge cups of coffee.
Lunch was a late and hurried salad at Whole Foods.
Followed by an apple and trail mix for a snack.
By dinner time, I was feeling pretty fried from the day and threw together a simple salad with a hummus dressing and plenty of hemp seeds.
And I’ve got a sweet hubby and little office buddy to cheer me up after a rotten day.
But another therapeutic run is needed, then maybe a glass of wine and a hot bath! :-)
