Tempeh Giveaway!

June 10, 2011 by christine

Last week, I received a generous box from Lightlife Foods of tempeh – 5 varieties to try.

And I had a blast with them trying and creating some wonderful dishes:

Spinach & Tempeh Bacon Fry

Curry Tempeh Stir Fry

Seared Tempeh Cubes

BBQ Tempeh

Summer Tempeh Chili

After so many nights of tempeh for dinner, I’m actually not sick of it. I discovered it’s a very versatile source of protein and fiber that works in so many fast and easy recipes for busy weeknights. It’s also a healthier and cheaper alternative to meat with wonderful benefits such as:

  • It’s easier to digest than beans and other plant-based proteins due to the enzymes produced in the fermentation process.
  • The protein in tempeh helps stabilize blood sugar.
  • It has a nutty flavor with a satisfying, hearty texture.
  • It’s a source of natural antibiotics.
  • It’s a heart healthy protein.

Now Lightlife would like to give you a chance to try their tempeh products! One lucky winner will get to choose 3 tempeh products to have shipped to them. There are 4 ways to enter:

  1. Tell my which Lightlife tempeh flavors you’d like to try from this link.
  2. Like Lightlife’s Facebook Page.
  3. Follow Lightlife on Twitter.
  4. Subscribe to Lightlife’s blog.

And leave a comment for each please. The winner will be selected in 7 days, good luck!

im constantly trying to get into tempeh…your recipes are always so inspiring. i tried the garden veggie before…and it was good, but i still had lingering bitterness…id love to try the flax or the wild rice. maybe make a BLT with the fakin’ bakin’ one? brainstorming ensues…
