Yuck

May 16, 2011 by christine

Hate to say it, but I’m sick. I was getting minor signs over the weekend with intestinal problems and it really started to kick on while driving home from work today with body aches, chills, then feeling like I’m burning up. And now I barely have enough energy to drag myself to bed. Found out from my sister and co-workers that a nasty little intestinal bug is going around. Yay, happy Monday to me! My dinner reflected my feelings of nastiness starting with a monster smoothie.

It was my third smoothie of the day since I’m seriously putting effort into a high smoothie week. This one packed vanilla pea protein powder, a banana, carrot, red cabbage, and Vitamineral green.

The grayish color wasn’t exactly appealing, but it tasted much better.

Then I was craving something salty and made a bowl of air-popped popcorn with a little olive oil, salt and nutritional yeast.

It hit the spot on a lonely night at home not feeling great. Now, I hate to be such a bore, but I’m gonna crash. I’ll have more updates on my smoothie experiment when I’m feeling human again, I promise. :-P

What’s your favorite popcorn topping?
