Hello from Lake Tahoe! We’re getting away from the triple digit heat in our area this week to enjoy the 4th of July here! And I love taking road trip vacations because you can pack tons of stuff not worrying about airline luggage weight limits. :-) We took advantage of that by packing for hiking and mountain biking even bringing our bikes. And I packed everything I need to make smoothies for breakfast including our Tribest travel blender.
I had a wonderful dinner at the resort last night to kick off our little vacation of wine, house made bean and corn burger with avocado and sauteed onions and sweet potato fries.
And we relaxed in the hot tub after a long day of driving and bike riding.
This morning we headed out early to tackle the Squaw Valley trail to High Camp. The trail is only about 3.5 miles long, but very challenging miles that go from about 6,000 ft. elevation to 8,ooo ft.
I packed plenty of snack bars and good thing since we needed them!
The views of this hike were gorgeous!
And the finale was hiking through steep snow when we reached the top!
Good thing we got to ride the Aerial Tram down for free. :-)

Wow, looks so fun and beautful! I am happy to say that I, too, am actually getting away for once-husband and I are leaving for a 3 day getaway to San Francisco in the am, and I am looking forward to lots of sightseeing and yummy vegan food.

Oh we love Lake Tahoe. We used to live in the Folsom area and would take off to Tahoe every chance we got. So beautiful no matter what time of year it is. We moved back to Tennessee and really miss so many things about California!
