Back At It

December 29, 2012 by christine

They last few days have been nuts at work with so many people still on vacation. And I’ve had a bit of the blahs having to be back at work right after the holidays and trying to catch up on housework. But I did get a nice package this week from Nelsons Natural World thanks to Kalli’s giveaway and it was like another Christmas!

This basket was loaded with goodies!IMG_8717

So many fun products to try, what a treat!

It was almost too pretty to take apart, but I tore into it anyway and was amazed at how much was in it!

The natural stress relief products really intrigued me because I could use that now. But it’s gonna take me awhile to try and review all these goodies! So far I’ve tried the gum.

And it’s good for about 5 minutes with a mildly sweet flavor and juicy center, great for a quick refresh after a meal or dry mouth. But the flavor does not last long and texture gets tough quick. I enjoyed the Rescue Pastilles more, they had a longer lasting flavor that could either be sucked on or chewed.

There’s also a few sleep aid products that I thankfully have not needed yet.

And natural face wash products.IMG_8724

Even stress relief drops for pets!

And iron packets!

Thank you Nelsons and Kalli @ Fit and Forty Something! Can’t wait to try all these!

Since I’ve been dragging a bit the last few days, I’ve been drinking plenty of coffee with almond milk on work mornings.

And sticking to Raw Protein smoothies for breakfast.

Along with my usual salads for lunch.

lunch

Last night maybe wasn’t so healthy since hubby and I stepped out for a little Thai food, but this tofu cashew stir fry was wonderful!

dinner

And earlier this week I stepped away from my usual huge salads to create a hot stir fry for dinner with a simple orange stir fry sauce I created in the Vitamix of:

  • 1 orange, peeled and chopped
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 3 tbsp. of tamari
  • 1/4 tsp. red pepper flakes
  • 1″ chunk of fresh ginger

I coated a tofu, carrot, and cabbage stir fry in it.IMG_8714

And had a fabulous dinner in minutes!IMG_8715

But now I’m ready for some relaxing, cleaning, and gathering my goals for the New Year this weekend. And to get more into running since I finally ordered new running shoes!
