Last week, I got an email from Susan Nichole Vegan Handbags announcing a sample purse sale with amazing prices on sample/demo purses that may not be perfect. Since my plain, gray canvas purse is a little too plain, I gifted myself with this blue purse and it arrived shortly after. I love it!
If it’s not perfect, I can’t tell. :-) But I love the blue color, large-but-not-too-large size, perfect exterior zipped pocket for cell phones, and plenty of interior pockets.
And the exterior fabric feels very durable and smooth, like it could easily be rain resistant which is great for winters here.
After getting everything moved into the purse, I got a little crazy in the kitchen trying my luck at a raw vegan version of ranch dressing and a really thick and gloppy version that can double as a dip or spread. It’s been too long since I’ve had traditional ranch dressing, but my hubby gave his stamp of approval on this recipe for being very similar to the traditional dairy-loaded stuff.
Hemp Seed Ranch Dressing
- 1 cup of shelled hemp seeds
- 1/2 cup of water
- 1 clove of garlic
- 1/2 tsp. dried parsley
- 1/4 tsp. onion powder
- 1/2 tsp. dill weed
- 1/8 tsp. salt
- 2 tbsp. lemon juice
- 1/8 tsp. black pepper
Place all ingredients into a high speed blender and blend to a smooth and creamy texture. Makes 4-6 servings.
The dressing is very thick, perfect for dipping or coating salads. But you can add a little more water to thin if desired.
I coated a large spinach salad in it.
And it coated well with a creamy and tangy flavor and powerful garlic kick.
The creamy texture compliments fresh and crunchy veggies making it a great dip for veggie sticks too.

CUTE purse. Love the size– not too big, not too small.
