Happy Wednesday! I confess that I was not thrilled to hear my alarm this morning, but once I jumped out of bed, things got a lot better and I’ve been feeling very energized today and in an overall good mood. I’ve only been skipping whole, raw nuts for 3 days now and my skin already seems better. Plus I’m moving along with my increased protein intake for this week to see if my energy improves as I start training for the Nike Women’s Fitness Festival race in June.
This is an interesting account from an author new to raw that highlights the challenges of going full on raw at the beginning and listening to your body. That is something I’m focusing on more, listening to my needs.
Lunch continued in my goal up skipping nuts and adding more protein with hemp seed and juice pulp crackers topped with guacamole and cheezy hemp sauce and some fruit on the side. It was a fun, filling lunch.
I had a not-so-raw dinner creation using up leftovers and taking a bit of a break dirtying and cleaning everything in my kitchen – steamed spaghetti squash mixed with a curry lentil dish topped with tomatoes.
The strong curry flavor in the lentil sauce blended nicely with the squash. Plus it was nice having something warm since it was cold and rainy today, you’d never know it’s almost May here! Now time to hit the gym, catch up on Lost and maybe my new Get Fresh magazine in a bubble-bath. :-)
