I did not get much time in the kitchen today after a dizzying trip to Ikea for new kitchen island ideas. But in my drive to become a super foodie, I did do a little kitchen clean out this weekend. I emptied the fridge of ready containers of lemon and lime juice and pre-minced garlic resolving to use only fresh. Problem is my tool section to juice lemons and limes is pretty week, simply squeezing the half hardly seems efficient. A trip to Sur La Table fixed that and I’m the proud new owner of a lemon and lime squeezer. I also replaced some of my aging cooking utensils that probably should have been replace sooner.
